Jaime Camacho Flórez was appointed Delegate Prosecutor before the Supreme Court by the Attorney General Néstor Humberto Martínez. He earned a law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia majored in Criminology and Criminalistics. He received his doctorate from Universidad Alfonso X  (Spain).

He was an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeal at the Supreme Court of Justice and High Court of Cundinamarca. Besides working for the Judicial Branch, he also worked as Delegate Prosecutor before the Supreme Court and as Human Rights Delegate.

In the academic field, he has great experience as a teacher and as lecturer addressing criminal law and criminal policy issues in several universities and institutions in the country and abroad.

He has been part of different committees. One of them is a committee in charge of the prisons and penitentiary centers policy monitoring. Another one, is a commission that advises the criminal policy for the Ministry of Justice and also a commission to evaluate policies in regard to subjection to justice, among others.
