A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against Jaime Alberto Taborda Cardona for drug trafficking, manufacture and/or drug possession offenses. The above mentioned person was arrested in the city of Pereira (Risaralda) by highway patrols last weekend in Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda) – Chinchiná (Caldas) road.
The defendant was searched by virtue of an order issued by the 9th criminal judge with supervisory functions (control de garantías) in Cartagena (Bolivar) as a consequence of the so called Operation “Julieta” which was derived from an investigation carried out by authorities from Spain and Colombia in regards to an organization which trafficked drugs from Colombia to Spain in containers.
