An operation which was carried out by a group of prosecutors belonging to the a special team denominated “Eje Temático de Protección a los Recursos Naturales y el Medio Ambiente”* with the support of CTI members, National Police, Army, Navy and Air Force led to the arrest of 21 people near the Departments of Caquetá and Putumayo. These people were engaged in illegal mining activities.
