Justino Hernández Murcia was appointed by the Interim Attorney General Jorge Fernando Perdomo Torres as the new Head of the National Office on the Accusatory Legal System.
The National Office on the Accusatory Legal System was created for the main purpose of strengthening the implementation of the Accusatory Legal System and articulating the Office of the Attorney General with other institutions which are related to its missional duties.
This National Office was assigned to the Office of the Deputy Attorney and has two main divisions: Division for Interagency Coordination (“Subdirección de Articulación Interinstitucional”) and Division for External Coordination of Judicial Police Authorities (“Subdirección de Articulación Externa de Policías Judiciales”).
Among its duties, this office takes the appropriate measures to strengthen the Accusatory Legal System and articulates institutions and agencies performing judicial police duties, either permanently or temporarily.
