An operation which was conducted by 3.000 public servants from Office of the Attorney General – Criminal Investigation Team (CTI), National Police and National Army in the city of Bogotá, specifically in an area known as  “El Bronx” was successful. This operation took place in May 28th and 40 home searches were carried out.

As a result, 11 people were arrested. Two of them were leaders of the so called ““Los Ganchos Payaso, Mosco, Manguera and  Nacional”, Teodilio Arango or alias “Teo” (Bronx’s financial manager) and Ronald Stid Rodríguez or alias “el Flaco” (Mosco´s business leader) who is accused of torturing a female CTI officer when she was conducting intelligence activities.

142 minors were rescued and they are under the Colombian Family Welfare Institute´s care (Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar – ICBF). 595 people ( 143 women and 452 men) were in a vulnerable situation; 31 were taken to a hospital and 31 animals were recovered.
