The Office of the Attorney General brought charges against an engineer and former employee of Ecopetrol, David Orlando Durán Flores and his wife Elgui Hohana Navarro Carvajal before a specialized judge.
During a public hearing, the prosecutor in charge of the case assured that the accused person, Durán Flores, taking advantage of his position and knowledge about the technical operation of machinery, would have acted illegally when he manipulated the bidding process so that Petrotiger Services Colombia Ltda. could win the process and benefit from the so called Nare contract which amounted 112 000 000 000 Colombian pesos.
