Five people who adulterated, distributed and commercialized counterfeit medicines for cancer and HIV treatment were condemned.
Events began in 2012 when ringleaders of this multinational organization bought medicines in Ecuador and Venezuela and transported them across the frontiers in order to be sold in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander), Bucaramanga (Santander), Neiva (Huila), Girardot (Cundinamarca), Villavicencio and Acacías (Meta), Popayán (Cauca) and Bogotá.
