The urgent search mechanism (in spanish Mecanismo de Búsqueda Urgente MBU) implemented by the Office of the Attorney General was activated when the two year old child Juan Sebastián Fuentes disappeared on December 22, 2015 at Quintas de Santana neighborhood in Soacha (Cundinamarca).
Interim Attorney General Jorge Fernando Perdomo stated that this mechanism was used by the Regional Office in Cundinamarca based on the protocols that have been established by the State through the Office of the Attorney General.
