One hundred tons of cement which are not appropriate for construction were part of a lot used in projects of public housing programs and, therefore, they were seized by the Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) from the Office of the Attorney General during 17 home searches carried out in Bogotá, Bucaramanga (Santander), Armenia (Quindío), Villavicencio (Meta) y Neiva (Huila).
According to the National Director of the Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) from the Office of the Attorney General, Danny Julián Quintana, this proceeding led to the arrest of 12 people who participated in this criminal activity by using the name of legal Cement companies and prepared a product which did not meet the international standards to assure an anti-seismic cement.
