Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) in Magdalena supported by SIJIN National Police and Army Batallion ( Alta Montaña N° 6 ) arrested 14 members of a drug trafficking network engaged in the distribution of drugs at schools in Santa Marta (Magdalena) in order to turn minors into drug addicts and clients.
The arrests and home searches were carried out in Pescaíto, 20 de julio, San Martín, Los Fundadores, San Francisco, Los Laureles (Villa Paraco) and El Pando neighborhoods. There were also seized 1600 cocaine doses, 130 marihuana doses and 17 cartridges for 38 caliber and $9 800 000 pesos in cash.
The 14 arrested people will be charged with criminal conspiracy, manufacturing, trafficking and possession of drugs and manufacturing, trafficking and possession of firearms and ammunitions.
