Four people were arrested due to the so called “Plan Pistola” against Police authorities in Cauca

The most recent case occurred on October 21^st near the so-called rural area La Playa located in Popayán (Cauca) when two police officers came to the aid of citizens who called asking for help. When the officers arrived, they were ambushed and attacked with long-range weapons. As a result the officers Uberley Meneses and patrol officer Fabián Velasco Gallego died.

The alleged FARC* members would have taken the officers firearms and two SIG-SAUER pistols 9mm caliber.
