Eight alleged members of a criminal organization engaged in procuring minors in Barranquilla were taken into custody thanks to investigations carried out by CTI members, Metropolitan Police authorities in coordination with the 12th Regional Office from CAIVAS* at the Attorney General´s Office.

Attorney General´s Office, as part of its the commitment in counteracting this flagellum that threatens children´s and teenager´s welfare requested  supervisory judges “jueces de garantías” to conduct these detentions. These were produced as the result of home searches at neighborhoods San José, Santuario, Kennedy and downtown Barranquilla; Ferrocarril and Costa Hermosa in Soledad (Atlántico) and municipality of Pivijay (Magdalena).

Among the arrested: Lorena María Muñoz Aniebles, Racheel Lee De la Hoz Sandoval, Fernando de Jesús Arias Orozco, Juan Carlos Palacio Cantillo,  Carmen Elena Pugliese Camargo, Álvaro Antonio Salas Cuadro, Rolando José Pugliese Camargo and Franklin Alfonso Pugliese Camargo.
