Former guerilla men that are reinserted would participate in politics even though they are convicted for serious offenses against human rights, drug trafficking offenses, war crimes or crimes against humanity.
This assessment was given by the Attorney General Eduardo Montealegre Lynett during a congress called Poder Ciudadano which took place in Bogotá. It was attended by women, young people, African descendent people, politics, among other groups and its purpose was to open a democratic dialogue concerning peace process and main challenges faced by the country while it is trying to build a lasting and sustainable peace, as well as, constitutional and alternate mechanisms to put an end to the armed conflict.
