The Attorney General´s Office brought charges against the former Head of the Comptroller´s Office in Colombia, Sandra Morelli, for alleged embezzlement with contracts

The Attorney General´s Office brought charges against former comptroller Sandra Morelli Rico before the Superior Court in Bogotá for the alleged commission of embezzlement with contracts whose aim was to change the Comptroller´s Office headquarters.

According to the 10th Delegate Prosecutor´s Office before the Supreme Court who is in charge of the case, Morelli Rico in her position of Head of the Comptroller´s Office  would have signed contracts number 233 and 234 dated march 29^th 2012 with the firm Proyectos y Desarrollos I S.A., whose aim was to contract a rental service for a new facility for the Comptroller´s Office Headquarters  to the value of $2 703 685 689 per month.
