Due to the kidnapping of an undergraduate, a preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against Luis Eduardo Cifuentes Galindo, alias El Aguila, former head of the United Self Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) Cundinamarca Bloc who was going to be released under the Justice and Peace Law (Ley de Justicia y Paz).
For this reason he will remain in La Picota prison in Bogotá, where he is currently detained. According to investigations conducted by the Attorney General´s Office Cifuentes continued committing crimes while Justice and Peace process was in progress.
