A preventive detention order was issued against the former Secretary of Government in Segovia (Antioquia) for miners´ death

A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against Carlos Mario Salazar Londoño, former Secretary of  Government  at Segovia (Antioquia), also known as  Felix, for his alleged responsibility in the death of Jhonatan Esteban Pareja Avendaño, Jaime Nicolás Jiménez and brothers  Yeison Andrés and Wilmar Alberto Taborda Jiménez.

The bodies of the victims were found on december 20, 2011 at the so called farm “La Tia”, Chorrolindo rural area, near the municipality of Segovia. According to the investigation the above mentioned miners were called to a meeting by the accused, who would be part of the criminal organization “Los rastrojos” criminal organization that  operates at  northeast area of  Antioquia.
