During a press conference the Attorney General’s Office, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett announced a criminal plot against the life of Andrés Fernando Sepúlveda Ardila, also known as “Hacker” who is investigated for the alleged interceptions to the communications of the delegates and participants in the peace process which took place in Habana (Cuba), espionage, violation of personal data, use of  a Malware, abusive access to a computer system.

According to Senior Official Montealegre Lynnet, due to CTI intelligence labors it was possible to establish that a firearm which was going to be used to kill the Hacker was sneaked in to La Picota prison where he is imprisoned and that his wife and daughter would be also victims of an attack. He added “we have prepared in coordination with the Colombian National Police a protection system for Andrés Sepúlveda and his family. We have detected serious evidence of money involved in order to murder Hacker and we are investigating who would be responsible. Therefore, we immediately transferred him to the Attorney General´s Office Headquarter (Bunker), in order to protect his life.

The Attorney General said that in order to avoid obstructing the investigation no further information concerning the responsible of the attack will be supplied. He stated that in the case of Andrés Sepúlveda who is collaborating with justice system, the Attorney General´ Office is evaluating the information he will supply to justice and according to this evaluation it will be established a kind of negotiation with the hacker in the context of law.
