The National Director of Regional Offices and Public safety from the Attorney General Office, Luis González León, reported that the election day developed in normal conditions, except in five municipalities of Choco region as ELN guerilla members threatened the population in order to sabotage presidential elections.
Gonzalez said that the preliminary inquiries regarding the events surrounding two terrorist attacks occurred in the road Quibdó (Chocó) – Medellin (Antioquia) are being conducted. Two cars were burned and there were no loss of life.
