A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against the alleged leader of the criminal organization La 38, Yeiner Andrés Zapata Rueda, alias Yeiner by a supervisory judge in Medellin. He would be the alleged responsible for an armed attack which caused the death of one person and injured another one in the eastern area of the capital.

The facts under investigation occurred at the neighborhood so called Barrio Popular 1 on April 4, 2009, when alias Yeiner, apparently shot from a taxi and killed the 25 years old young male, Phanor Ramirez Calderon, and wounded Andrés Felipe Ruiz García in his leg. The attack was due to territorial disputes between La Galera and La 38 gangs.
