Daniel Rendon Herrera, alias Don Mario, former head of the Self Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) Centaurus block will be subject of 308 criminal investigations due to some facts occurred in Meta. Most of them were homicides committed by people hired on behalf of this illegal organization for criminal purposes.
The 35 Sectional Prosecutor belonging to the Unit of Crimes against Life and Personal Integrity in Villavicencio who is conducting several cases and investigations developed during the Ordinary Justice, has submitted 42 proceedings at preliminary stage so far, according to the proceeding of Law 600 of 2000 since the events occurred before 2007. Year in which it was implemented the New Code of Criminal Procedure or Act 906 of 2004 in that region.
