Carlos Alberto Arzayuz Guerrero, deputy director of operations of the then Direction of Intelligence of the Administrative Department of Security (DAS), was sentenced to pay a penalty of 9 years and 10 months in prison for having committed the crimes of aggravated conspiracy, unlawful violation of communications, misuse of transmitters and receivers, and abuse of authority by arbitrary and unjust act, committed during the illegal wiretapping carried out by that entity.
