The Deputy Attorney General, Jorge Torres Fernando Perdomo, announced the strengthening of the Office in Tumaco and Nariño all within the framework of the Security Council that took place in the harbor.

Stating that “The prosecution has complied fully with all commitments that took in the month of October”, the senior official announced the creation of the immediate reaction unit´s (URI), of which the infrastructure is already mounted and which will be operational in the month of February.

“With this new installment of the Prosecutor’s Office will be able to allow that the population has better access to justice, which victims can also come to lay their complaints, and I think that this will contribute to the strengthening of Justice in the municipality”, added the deputy prosecutor.

He also stressed that with the entity reform, the staffing will increase by approximately 110 officers in the Department, of which at least 30 will be allocated to Tumaco. “Under the restructuring that has been made of the Attorney-General Office, will double the personnel plant (…) We will have nine more prosecutors, nine more Attorney assistants, nine more researchers and administrative staff plant”, said Perdomo.

“This increase in plant is accompanied by a new policy of sectional management. “We are going to start analyzing specific cases there are, because many of these are cases that can be analyzed in context”, said the official to discuss the subject of the decongestion of the offices.

To this end have two groups, a filter, which began operating on February 4, framed within the prioritization plan formed by three analysts, two assistants, three sectional prosecutors and judicial police, and other immediate intervention to meet the decongestion and debugging plan.

In terms of the CTI, it will also strengthen, so the Nariño sectional will not have to provide support services to Putumayo, every time that this Department will have its own technical investigation corp.
