A sectional Prosecutor of Monteria imposed security measure in prison centre against the current Mayor of Salamina (Caldas), Olga Constanza Duque Chica, as alleged responsible of appropriation embezzlement and conclusion of contracts without the fulfilment of legal requirements.
The investigation is related to the alleged irregularities that would have arisen in the conclusion of two contracts, in 2007, between the Government of Córdoba and the Association of municipalities of San Jorge (Asosanjorge), which Duque Chica was the contractor at the time, as one of the resources manager.
Such contracts were signed by more than 12 thousand 500 million pesos for the construction of 11 projects that benefit the residents of the municipalities linked to the Association.
The Prosecutor’s Office established that agreed projects only three were started but were not culminated, the remaining eight were not even initiated while Governor turned all the money.
The security measure was confirmed by a delegate Attorney before the Superior Tribunal of Montería, so the prosecution requested the Government of Caldas the suspension of the mayor to enforce the security measure against.
By the same facts were also sheltered with security measures at home, Jorge Luis Madrid Novoa, legal representative Asosanjorge and Francisco Ramón Godin Ojeda, former infrastructure secretary of Córdoba.
