For a pyramid creation that illegally captured a sum over thirteen million pesos, the Fifth Criminal Court of the Specialized Circuit of Medellin sentenced to 15 years in prison, the National Police patrol Bredy Duran Solano and Nicolas Gil Valenzuela.
According to research carried out by a specialized Attorney of Medellin, between 2005 and 2008 today condemned created a front company for alleged export of emeralds, called Expoesmeracol. The company offered investors monthly interests that ranged from 8% to 16%, and were also received vehicles and buildings.
The Attorney Office established that through this criminal mode were scammed 608 people of different social strata.
Duran Solano and Gil Valenzuela were convicted on charges f massive and regular col, illicit enrichment of individuals and money laundering. Tthe defence appealed this decision before the criminal chamber of the High Court of Medellín.
By the same facts were captured and sentenced others five people to penalty´s from 24 to 93 months in prison.
