In joint operation between members of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of Popayan (Cauca) and the National Army, were captured 12 people identified as allegedly responsible for the forced displacement of approximately 25 families Nasa indigenous community in rural area of Piendamó (Cauca).

The facts relating to the events of March 25, 2013, in the octavio village, where several men with guns and sharps have entered to La Alsacia and displaced families of the indigenous community East Indian roots, ethnic Nasa. During the crime several people were injured.

Catches were made in Piendamo (Cauca) urban area, emanated by the Fifth municipal Criminal Court of Popayán (Cauca), upon request of the Second Special Attorney of Cauca capital, for the crimes of forced displacement, manufacturing, traffic, firearms carryng or possession, accessories, aggravated parts or ammunition, manufacture, trafficking or carrying of firearms for the exclusive Armed Forces use or explosives, personal injury and damage to property.

The arrested were available to the Attorney Office and in few hours will be presented before a guarantees control of Popayán (Cauca) Judge, to carry out the capture legalization preliminary hearings, charges formulation and measure of assurance request.
