In a joint operation between members of the Prosecutor General’s Corps of Technical Investigators, C.T.I., and the National Army, the shipment of narcotics that had targeted several Colombian cities was thwarted.
The judicial proceedings were held at the headquarters of a courier company located on the way that leads from Cali to Yumbo, Valle del Cauca.
During the procedure, in which no arrests were reported, authorities found twelve cans of peaches; twenty packages of cigarettes; six cardboard boxes with almost four kilograms of marijuana; a plastic roll holding 11 packages containing 11 kilograms and 362 grams of cocaine base and a lot of Errivotril pills.
According to the CTI, the narcotic drugs had as destination Jamundí, Valle del Cauca; Cartagena, Bolívar; Sincelejo, Sucre; Ibagué and Melgar, Tolima; Calarcá, Quindío; and Santa Marta, Magdalena.
The seized material evidence was given under custody to the sectional district attorney 112 at Unidad de Reacción Inmediata, URI (Immediate Reaction Unit) of Yumbo, Valle del Cauca.
