Members of the Technical Investigation Team (CTI) from the General Prosecutor’s Office found in a house from the city of Cali, a car with false emblems of the OAS Mission to Support the Peace Process (OAS/MAPP). This car had nine caches in order to transport narcotic drugs.
The vehicle was found during a seizure of assets belonging to Narváez Reina family who deals with drug trafficking from the Colombian pacific to the United States. According to intelligence operations, the vehicle was originally white, however; it was painted blue and had forged diplomatic plates.
“In order to avoid these situations that make easier some criminal actions, the Attorney´s Office will coordinate with international organizations in order to establish a mechanism of control that allows to identify the vehicles used by them”, said Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Jorge Fernando Perdomo, during a press conference.
