At the request of the 212° Local Prosecutor of the URI in Usaquén, the 64° Criminal Municipal Judge in Bogota, acting as Supervisory Judge, covered the lawyer Jose Vicente Baquero Paniagua with a measure relating to a preventive detention in a prison facility for threats against prosecutors.
In the course of a public hearing, the Prosecutor in the case said that an investigator of the Technical Investigation Team (CTI) and a Prosecutor were permanently threaten by the law professional because of another proceeding is going forward against the accused within the frame of an investigation for domestic violence.
The facts arose on December 24, in an area of Northern Bogota. The accused accepted the crime and was sent to a prison facility.
Simultaneously, before 16° Criminal Municipal Judge in Bogota, acting as Supervisory Judge, the Prosecutor’s office charged Baquero Paniagua of intentional personal injuries jointly with trade, manufacture and carry of firearms. The accused did not accept charges and it was issued a preventive detention measure against him.
