The contractor from Bogotá, Hector Julio Gómez González, was captured this morning in the North of the city by agents of the Technical Investigation Team (CTI) of the Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office.
The arrest warrant, requested on Monday night before a Supervising Judge, was put into effect at 10 a.m. at the residence of Gómez González.
The delegate public prosecutor before the Supreme Court of Justice who conducts the investigation will request the pertinent legalization of capture and measure to ensure appearance in trial before a supervising judge. The counts to be charged by the Prosecutor’s Office are: Conspiracy to commit crimes, bribery and embezzlement.
The Colombia’s Attorney General, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, explained that several days ago conversations came ahead with the contractor for a pre-agreement, and his capture does not preclude later attaining to grant this benefit.
