The chief of police Diego Humberto Rueda Ramirez and the civil María Lucila Castaño de Torres have been remanded in custody for drug trafficking by the Third Roving and Mixed Jurisdiction Court in Medellin, acting as Supervising Court, which accepted the arguments and evidence material submitted by the prosecutor’s office in charge of the case.

Last November 9, present defendants were detained by troops of the XVII National Army Brigade, between Mutata and Chigorodó, Antioquia municipalities, when they were mobilizing in a motor vehicle, number plate BXE 054, where 100 kilograms of cocaine in one kilogram packets were transporting by them.

According to the investigation, Rueda Ramirez and Castaño deTorres tried to bribe the military to avoid their apprehension.

The uniformed officer and the woman were remanded in custody as alleged perpetrators of aggravated drug trafficking and I bribery.
