At preparation hearing, the Delegated Prosecutor’s Office before the Supreme Court of Justice and the defense of the former Bogota’s Mayor Samuel Moreno Rojas, 42 material evidences have been disclosed in order to be taken into account during the trial for his alleged responsibility for the offences of undue interest in signing contracts as an accessory, embezzlement by appropriation in favor of third parties and misappropriation.

During the court proceedings made before the judge 11 criminal of the circuit of Bogotá, acting as Presiding Judge, it has announced the addition of the interviews carried out to the former director of the Institute of Urban Development (in Spanish: IDU), Liliana Pardo, former senator Néstor Iván Moreno Rojas, as well as the statements made by the Colombian Inspector General, Alejandro Ordoñez, Mayor Gustavo Petro, and former mayor Luis Eduardo Garzón.

Similarly, it shall be taken into account the questionings carried out by judges of the Supreme Court of Justice to: Manuel and Guido Nule in the Colombia Consulate in Miami (US) in March 2011, on the occasion of the proceedings against the former congressmen Germán Olano Becerra and Ivan Moreno Rojas.

Likewise, the Presiding Judge shall take into account 103 boxes containing material evidence submitted by the Prosecutor’s Office through which the judge will aim to achieve the proof of meetings held between former Mayor Moreno Rojas and the Nules in the District Administration head office.

The prosecuting attorney will also attach 283.000 folios, copies of contracts, air tickets, press reports, recordings and videos in order to demonstrate the alleged responsibility of the then district representative in irregularities committed in the hiring of works for the capital.
