The National Unit against Terrorism, supported by Dijin team of Colombia National Police, arrested five individuals in Bogotá and Cali, among them a minor who is allegedly involved in the former minister bomb attack, Mr. Fernando Londoño Hoyos, last May 15 in the north of Bogotá.
Four of the arrests were carried out in Cali, while the arrest of the minor was in Bogotá. The minor was pointed out as the person that installed the “Lapa” bomb.
Among the arrested individuals in Cali, it was found the driver of the motorcycle in which the minor escaped after the attempt and three accomplices that were in the terrorist attack.
As soon as searching operations finish, the Dijin team of Colombia National Police will make appear the five individuals before the Attorney General Office for legalization, bring charges and measures hearings.
The judicial status of the minor will be deal before a juvenile court in Bogotá.
