A delegated prosecutor before Superior Court in Bogotá confirmed the Preventive Detention without releasing benefit which was issued against Miguel Nule Amín, within the proceedings for Macayepo massacre committed in Bolivar Department.

Nule Amín was preventive detained on March 1st, 2012 by a Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law prosecutor who accused him as allegedly responsible for the offense of aggravated homicide and forced displacement, as a mastermind.

The investigation carry out by Colombian Attorney General Office emerges from the facts occurred on October 14, 2000 when members of the illegal self-defense groups killed at least 12 country persons and forced settlers to be displaced.

The defendant, apprehended on February 18, 2012, is in a welfare center in the capital of Bolivar Department.
