The Office of the Attorney General brought nine alleged members of the criminal group ‘Los de la R’ before a judge in Guadalajara de Buga (Valle del Cauca). 

The people allegedly involved are: Miguel Ángel Jaramillo Acosta, María Paula Ospina Ramírez, Juan Pablo Plaza Múnera, Jhon Manuel Clavijo Calderón, José Aldemar Cruz, Claudia Patricia Restrepo Soto, Bernardo Mesa Arana, Sandra Milena Castrillón Flórez and Jhoan Sebastián Castañeda Gallego. 

This criminal network is considered responsible for multiple crimes committed in bars and nightclubs in neighborhoods Alto Bonito, La Revolución, Santa Bárbara, Uninorte, San Antonio, Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, La Julia, and La Merced. Members of ‘Los de la R’ allegedly sold narcotics at these places. They are also linked to six homicides that occurred between August 8 and 10, 2025. 

The Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), in coordination with the National Police, arrested the defendants during a home search carried out on February 19. One of the suspects was caught in flagrante delicto. During the operations, narcotics, materials for dose preparation, cell phones, and cash were seized. 

Based on their alleged individual participation, a prosecutor charged the suspects with: aggravated conspiracy to commit homicide; manufacture, trafficking, or possession of narcotics; aggravated homicide; and manufacture, trafficking, or possession of firearms. They did not plead guilty to the charges. 

The defendants must serve a prison sentence.
