At the request of a prosecutor from the municipality of El Carmen de Bolívar (Bolívar), a judge imposed a prison sentence to Gustavo Adolfo Herrera Gómez and Jean Carlos Murillo Herrera, who were charged with drug trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics, and trademark counterfeiting. None pleaded guilty to the charges. 

The events involving these two people took place on January 21 on the road connecting El Carmen de Bolívar to Sincelejo (Sucre). In a routine inspection, the National Police stopped the vehicle in which they were traveling. 

Inside the vehicle, officers found two hidden compartments containing nine packages of cocaine, with a preliminary estimated value of 72 million COP. Likewise, it was determined that the vehicle´s license plate was not authentic.
