The Office of the Attorney General brought two men before judges who, in separate incidents, were allegedly involved in the illegal possession of firearms in Pereira (Risaralda). 

At the request of prosecutors appointed to the branch office in Risaralda (Seccional Risaralda) the defendants were sent to prison for their alleged responsibility in the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. 

The first case took place on November 4, when during a home search operation that was carried out at a residence in Guayabal neighborhood in ‘comuna’ Villa Santana, a pistol with magazine and ammunition were found. 

At the scene was Sebastián Marulanda Quintero, alias La D, who was arrested and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office. 

The other case took place on November 2 of this year, in San Vicente neighborhood in ‘Comuna’ Villa Santana, where Yhonyhan Anuvis Tapasco González was found in a public area in possession of a pistol-type firearm with ammunition. According to the investigation, the weapon had been reported stolen.
