At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against a 40-year-old man, allegedly responsible for the murder of his former sentimental partner, mother of his two children, in Granada (Meta).
A prosecutor appointed to the brach office in Meta (Seccional Meta) charged him with aggravated femicide. The man admitted responsibility for the crime.
The facts took place on August 18th at a house located at La Sabana neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality where the alleged attacker arrived, took advantage of an open window, and apparently shot the woman in front of her children and a nephew, all minors.
After the incident, the man fled on a motorcycle. The victim was taken to a medical center, where she died due to the severity of her injuries.
The evidence showed that, during their relationship and cohabitation, this man allegedly verbally and psychologically attacked the woman. She decided to separate and went to live with her children at her sister’s house, where the incident occurred.
This man was arrested in flagrante by the National Police.
