The defendant is allegedly linked to the installation of a cylinder bomb on a national road in Valle del Cauca.
The evidence collected by the Attorney General’s Office and presented before a judge in Cali (Valle del Cauca) led to the arrest of Jhon Deiby Díaz Rodallega, alias Calvin Rodríguez, as the alleged responsible for the commission of the crimes of conspiracy to commit terrorism and terrorism.
According to the investigation, the defendant was part of the so-called Ricardo Velásquez mobile column of Jaime Martínez front of FARC dissidents operating in Valle del Cauca since June 2024.
This person would be responsible for monitoring activities carried out by the Security Forces, in addition to coordinating the sale of narcotics in different areas of the department.
He is also believed to be responsible for carrying out terrorist actions in Buenaventura, Jamundí, Cali, and Dagua (Valle del Cauca). On March 26, he allegedly installed a 40-pound cylinder bomb on the road connecting the municipalities of Jamundí and Suárez (Cauca). The explosive device was activated under controlled conditions by the National Army.
Díaz Rodallega was arrested on June 29 during a home search carried out home in the rural area of Timba, Buenos Aires (Cauca). A cell phone was seized during the operation.
During the hearings, the defendant did not plead guilty to the charges brought against him.
