The Attorney General’s Office brought Javier Mauricio Flórez Gómez, alias El Ñato, before a judge in Bucaramanga (Santander) for being allegedly responsible for aggravated homicide and illegal possession of weapons.

The Office of the Attorney General is investigating the incident that occurred on April 25 in Altos de Betania neighborhood in Santander, where a man’s corpse, wrapped in a sheet, was abandoned in front of a residential building.

The defendant, who was under house arrest, apparently had a meeting with the victim. It is believed that Flórez, along with others, attacked the man with a firearm, causing his death.

Although they attempted to take his corpse on board a taxi, they abandoned it and fled, as the sound of the weapon aroused the curiosity of the residents in the area.

National Police officers were in charge of the arrest of “El Ñato,” who denied responsibility for the charges.
