At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence for a man who allegedly murdered a woman in Riohacha (La Guajira).

In this regard, a sectional prosecutor charged him with femicide and theft, both aggravated offenses. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, the incidents occurred on January 15 in José Arnoldo Marín neighborhood when the dedendant, apparently due to jealousy, stabbed a woman several times with a sharp weapon, causing her death.

Security cameras in the area recorded the moment when the alleged aggressor arrived at the scene, and when he left with the alleged stolen items belonging to the victim.

The suspect was arrested by officers from the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), with the support of the National Police and Army, pursuant to a court order, in Balcones del Palá area of ​​Riohacha (La Guajira).
