The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted eight alleged members of Los Orientales criminal gang, accused of promoting the illegal drug trade in the municipality of Floridablanca (Santander). They were charged with drug trafficking and possession of drugs.
The people involved are Jeffry Alexander Flores, Fabio Andrés Ojeda Acuña, Jefferson Jesús Atala Becerra, Alexander Jacinto Villamizar, Yennifer Carolin García Holguín, Óscar Julián Balaguera, Jupiter Raúl Flórez Hernández and Fanny de Jesús Rodríguez de Jaramillo.
The investigation revealed that between August 2024 and February 2025, the alleged members of this drug trafficking organization sold marijuana and synthetic drugs in the area known as El Páramo.
Six of the suspects pleaded guilty to the charges. All defendants must serve a prison sentence, except for Rodríguez de Jaramillo, who must serve house arrest.
