The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Wilfran José Cáceres Torres and Luis Ángel Casadiegos, alleged members of the FARC dissidents, for the murder of a soldier from Army, that took place on February 20 in Tibú (Norte de Santander).
The facts took place in the area known as Palmeras del Mirador in a confrontation between the National Army and the illegal armed group. During the confrontation, the defendants allegedly murdered the professional soldier Nader Fabián Alarcón Babilonia.
Both men were arrested in fragrant and 4 pistols, 4 magazines, 1 shotgun, 503 cartridges of various calibers, 2 sights, 1 homemade mortar, 5 armbands alluding to Farc, 7 backpacks, and 1 cell phone were seized.
They were charged with criminal conspiracy; homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition; and manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use, ammunition for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, or explosives, all aggravated.
The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges, and a judge sentenced them to prison.
