After assessing the evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Yorman Torres Casseres, 32 years old, for his alleged responsibility in the crimes of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of a firearm, accessories, parts or ammunition.

According to the investigation, the facts took place on October 17, 2023, in San Pablo de María La Baja, where Torres Casseres apparently shot a 21-year-old man four times and then fled the scene. The victim was assisted by the community, but died due to the severity of his injuries.

Torres Casseres was arrested by the National Police in San Basilio de Palenque (Bolívar). He did not plead guilty to the charges brought against him.
