The Attorney General’s Office achieved the prosecution of Adrián Sánchez Durán, alias Zarco or Josué, alleged leader and head of finances of a mobile column of the 33rd Front of the FARC dissidents. This person allegedly participated in the illegal detention of a couple, in Norte de Santander, among other criminal actions.

A prosecutor charged him conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated kidnapping for ransom. He did not plead guilty to the charges and a judge ordered him to serve a sentence in prison. 

The investigation carried out by the Office of the Attorney General allowed to establish that the accused had participated in the kidnapping of a married couple on August 20, 2024, in La Playa de Belén (Norte de Santander).

Likewise, it was determined that this man as head of finances, was allegedly in charge of coordinating the extortions to merchants and transporters of food products in Ocaña, El Carmen and Convención (Norte de Santander).

Moreover, he was involved in the storage of firearms and explosives to carry out criminal actions against the public force and the community.

Sánchez Durán was arrested by the National Army and Gaula of the National Police, by virtue of a court order.
