The Attorney General’s Office achieved the prosecution of Adrián Sánchez Durán, alias Zarco or Josué, alleged leader and head of finances of a mobile column of the 33rd Front of the FARC dissidents. A prosecutor charged him conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated kidnapping for ransom. He did not plead guilty to the charges and a judge ordered him to serve a sentence in prison.
The investigation carried out by the Office of the Attorney General allowed to establish that the accused had participated in the kidnapping of a married couple on August 20, 2024, in La Playa de Belén (Norte de Santander).
