The crimes attributed to him took place between 2022 and 2023. These would be related to the intention of his criminal network to intimidate the population and take control over illicit incomes in Barranquilla and surrounding municipalities.
Based on the new evidence obtained by the Attorney General’s Office, Digno José Palomino Rodríguez, alleged leader of the criminal structure ‘Los Pepes’, a faction of ‘Los Costeños, was brought before a judge and was charged with 17 homicides and other criminal conduct that took place in Atlántico.
This person, known with the alias of Dino or Sebas, allegedly ordered his illegal organization to carry out selective crimes to intimidate residents, transporters and merchants, and to take control of the petty drug dealing, the collection of extortion and other illicit income.
In this sense, he would be involved in 11 criminal facts causing 17 victims between July 2022 and July 2023, in Barranquilla, Soledad and Malambo (Atlántico).
For these facts, a prosecutor appointed to the Territorial Support Directorate charged him with homicide and conspiracy to commit a crime, both aggravated conducts; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
The defendant is currently deprived of his liberty at the maximum and medium-security Prison in Valledupar (Cesar), known as La Tramacúa.
