The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Brayan Stiven Oviedo Roa and Jhoiler Ibala Parra, alleged perpetrators of transporting 81 kilos of marijuana in a rural area of the southwestern of Huila.
A prosecutor appointed to the Immediate Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) charged them with trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics. They did not plead guilty to the charges and a judge imposed a prison sentence.
According to the investigation, on January 22, Oviedo Roa and Ibala Parra were allegedly traveling in a vehicle along the so-called Santa Inés rural area, a road that connects Paicol and Tesalia (Huila). When arriving at Los Ángeles bridge, their vehicle was inspected by the authorities, who were carrying out police patrols.
Inside the vehicle, the officers found three fiber bags that apparently contained narcotics in 33 packages wrapped in black bags with tape.
The evidence shows that the substance came from Cauca, destined for Neiva, where, it would be prepared in doses and sold in residential areas and schools.
