The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to sentence Cristián Alejandro Sánchez Martínez to 42 years and 8 months in prison, for his responsibility in the murder of a man on October 15, 2022 in the Portales del Llano neighborhood, in Villavicencio (Meta).
The 27-year-old man was convicted of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms or ammunition.
A prosecutor of the so-called Unidad de Vida proved that the victim was attacked with a firearm by Sánchez Martínez when he was fixing a motorcycle, in front of a commercial establishment.
It was determined that the aggressor and the victim had personal problems which caused this ending.
The judge denied the stay of execution and house arrest, therefore he will have to serve the sentence in prison, where he has been held since March 2023.
The ruling issued in the first instance was appealed by the defense attorney.
