At the request of a prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in San Andrés, a judge sent two young men, 16 and 17, to a juvenile detention center since they would be responsible for the crimes of manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearm and receiving stolen property.
The facts took place on December 2, in the Sarie Bay neighborhood of the archipelago, where they were found in flagrante delicto by the Security Police (Policía de Vigilancia in spanish) since they were in possession of 8 cartridges of different calibers and a firearm.
The authorities established that the seized revolver belongs to a surveillance company, which, apparently, had been reported stolen on November 21st.
During the hearings, the defendants did not plead guilty to the crimes, and they will be sent to a specialized juvenile detention centre.
