The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted nine alleged members of the criminal group known as Los del Combo de Villa, who would be responsible for violent robberies in various sectors in Valledupar (Cesar).

For these facts, a local prosecutor charged them with aggravated qualified theft and personal injuries.  They did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, between 2022 and 2024 they allegedly participated in at least six robberies in which firearms and sharp objects were used to rob victims’ cash, cell phones and other valuable items.

One of these facts took place on April 5, 2023 in the Villa Castro neighborhood in Valledupar.

During home searches carried out in conjunction with the National Police, Jhon Frey Pacheco Márquez, alias Popeye; Camilo Andrés Gutiérrez, alias Pakita; Erwuin Luis Bermúdez Benítez, Camilo Andrés Gaitán Carrillo, Luis David Orozco Núñez, alias Manyoma;  Yulian Said Restrepo Ospino, alias Yulian; Javier Enrique Montenegro Mejía, alias Pecas; Santiago Daniel Ariza Diaz, alias El Zurdo and Andrés Javier Pertúz Pérez, alias Gorila were arrested.

A judge imposed a prison sentence on eight of the defendants, while alias Popeye must serve house arrest.
