At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Carlos Mario Ortigoza González, as the alleged person responsible for petty drug dealing with the use of minors in 4 neighborhoods in San José del Guaviare (Guaviare).

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics and use of minors in the commission of crimes. Ortigoza González did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, the defendant apparently led a criminal group called Los Colonos, and with the cooperation of two minors, sold narcotics in small doses, through home deliveries and at fixed points, in the so-called Primero de Octubre, 30 de Julio, Piraquive and Arazá neighborhoods in San José del Guaviare.

During a home search carried out by the National Police, Ortigoza González was arrested. Marijuana, cocaine hydrochloride, elements for preparing doses and mobile equipment were found at the scene.

In this same process that was under investigation since 2023, three more people were prosecuted.
